Established in 2009, Tenenbaum and Solomon was formed as a continuation of the established practice of Alan Luftspring after his retirement. In January 2019 the law practice of Jack Zwicker was continued at the firm. Jack will continue his practice as a Deputy Judge and mediator. Led by two tenured lawyers, Samantha Solomon and Sheldon Tenenbaum the firm currently serves clients in real estate, lending, family, small business, franchising, wills, and estates; and civil litigation. Sheldon Tenenbaum provides services to Legal Aid clients in family law matters. In 2019 Tenenbaum and Solomon endured the loss of Maria Kazandji, a long-time student volunteer and later an associate lawyer to a major commercial real estate brokerage. Sarah Backa, a law clerk of exceptional ability is now working at a child protection agency in northern Ontario. Hanan Faroun, a talented real estate clerk, is now employed at a law firm specializing in private mortgages. The 2020 pandemic saw further changes including the use of a home office in north Toronto and the joining of Andrew Berk, an experienced real estate and commercial solicitor, as counsel. Heather Barker joined us as a legal assistant and Michelle McInnis rejoined us as a real estate clerk. Ashley Purdy, an experienced real estate clerk works with us remotely.
