I had the chance to have Gerald Chan as my lawyer to defend me against the horrible charges brought by a very bad person. Gerald did an exceptional job, and as a result, all charges against me were dropped. Without his incredible work, my life could have been ruined if I had been convicted. I highly recommend this lawyer. His colleague, Olivia Eng, was also extremely helpful. She was very well organized and a real pleasure to work with.

I had the pleasure of working with Edward (Ted) Marrocco and his legal team, specifically Olivia Eng and Liz McLellan (for a separate case) on a challenging legal matter, and I cannot speak highly enough of his professionalism and dedication. I am grateful to Justin, Olivia and the Stockwoods team for their partnership throughout my Judicial Review. The case was surrounding my partners death and the care and compassion consistently shown from our first phone call to our hearing was unparalleled. When you couple this with their knowledge and attention to detail on an incredibly complex and nuanced matter you get a superior level of client service and excellent value for your investment in a partnership with the Stockwoods team. The detailed preparation prior to and for our hearing was clearly evident in court, and despite opposing parties’ attempts to claim the legal process worked differently in an effort to draw out the process and costs, Justin’s expertise swiftly and professionally shut down this behaviour by citing relevant case law. In addition, Justin’s proficiency in media relations also bolstered public attention and interest in our case, further driving support. As a client, I am incredibly demanding especially given the nature of the case and the emotional element involved - Justin excelled at managing my expectations for the entire process and risk vs reward. Justin is an incredible lawyer who provided a supportive and comprehensive service. He cared and showed compassion and support, but always provided me options to advocate,. Stockwoods LLP is a superb legal firm. I am a lawyer myself, run a non-profit legal advocacy organization, and have a deep understanding of what constitutes quality legal work. My organization worked closely with Andrea Gonsalves and Fredrick Schumann on an important constitutional challenge to a provincial law, and found that they are unmatched in professionalism, thoughtfulness, and litigation expertise.
