John graduated from the University of Windsor Law School in 1991. John was called to the bar in 1993 and worked in the Civil Litigation department at a large Mississauga law firm until 1996 when he started his own firm. For over 25 years, John has served clients in Peel, Halton and the surrounding area. John practices in Civil Litigation. In his Civil Litigation practice, John is a respected litigator who has made hundreds of appearances for institutions, corporations and individual clients on many different kinds of cases at all levels of the court in Ontario. Johns skill as a litigator is reflected in the large number of referrals he receives from other lawyers.

John is a highly respected lawyer who we have found to be very approachable, fair and honest. He demonstrated outstanding knowledge and professionalism while handling our personal wills. John provided prompt and efficient service and was attentive to our specific needs and situation. John also worked diligently in handling our father’s estate. He was more than willing to go above and beyond to ensure that all legal requirements were satisfied. John was patient and generous with his time and was extremely responsive to all of our questions and concerns. It has been an absolute pleasure working with John. I was referred to John Gray by a large law firm who suggested he may be the ideal lawyer to help me. When I met with John, I was very pleased and appreciated the professional manner in which he handled my property damage case against a large insurance company. John paid close attention to each and every detail of my case. He made sure that everything in my Statement of Claim was substantiated and that all court documents were filed in accordance with the correct time deadlines. John always kept me informed about my case including his dealings with opposing counsel and sent me copies of all relevant email correspondence. With his years of legal experience, John took a no-nonsense approach to my case and operated on a position of strength supported by documentation. Although the proceedings were delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic and by opposing counsel’s tactics, John recommended we take a strategic approach and maintain our position based on the documentary evidence submitted with my Statement of Claim. In the final analysis, John gave me the option to accept or reject his recommendations and proceed to trial if required. This proved to be unnecessary because John negotiated a fair and reasonable settlement on my behalf. It was particularly gratifying to receive a settlement from a large insurance company who initially refused to accept any responsibility or provide any compensation. I would strongly recommend John Gray to anyone who needs an excellent lawyer. He is a dedicated professional offering outstanding legal counsel at a very reasonable rate.
