Jennifer is a graduate from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, where she was awarded the cum laude distinction, the Professor Vern Krishna Scholarship, and the Godyne Sibay Scholarship in Real Estate Law. While attending the University of Ottawa, Jennifer acted as a Teaching Assistant for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Course and a Mentor in the Womens Legal Mentorship Program. She also volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada and participated in the Rick Weiler Mediation Competition.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I started to ask Jennifer to help was a year before final closing is completely done. Jennifer Li and her assistant Lily offered me professional advice and provided prompt reply whenever I emailed to Jennifer, especially when I am in Asia with the time difference. Jennifer offered me options for signing contract with FaceTime as I was unable to fly back to Canada on time for final closing. Thank you Jennifer and team.

Super nice but not very knowledgeable. As a lawyer you would think she would do some research instead she said "I'm not sure what the process is" and just gave up. Makes me wonder if .... was the issue.... Do better not all cases are smooth sailing! Your reply suggests that I asked you to do something underhanded.. however, let me make it clear if you look up case laws and speak with your peers I'm sure they'll tell you the same... it's possible and happens quite often...you missed the mark here

⭐⭐⭐☆☆

My husband and I recently purchased our first home and our real estate agent recommended Jennifer Li as a budget option. In this case, I feel like we got what we paid for. We appreciated Jennifer's initial responsiveness when inquiring about her services and we felt comfortable signing on with her. Unfortunately, we had to prompt her on several occasions at critical points during the transaction. I am extremely grateful for the conscientiousness of our real estate agent and our mortgage broker who guided us through the process. 1. I was prompted by our mortgage broker to reach out to Jennifer to confirm receipt of the "final instructions" for our mortgage. 2. Our meeting to sign the paperwork was arranged for a Friday morning - she only sent us the paperwork to review late Thursday night - She sent me the paperwork after I emailed her at the direction of my real estate agent who was surprised we hadn't received it yet. For such an important transaction, more than a night would be appreciated to review the details. 3. The day of closing there were some bumps (not Jennifer's fault) which we didn't hear about til 1pm (we were again grateful for our mortgage broker looking into the issue himself) and the deal closed in escrow. 4. Her office indicated that we would receive the final report within a few weeks - I again had to email her a month later and then she finally completed it. The legal closing duties were completed on a technical basis without any issue. If you are looking for a budget lawyer, I would recommend her services only if you are very proactive or if you have the guidance of an excellent real estate agent and/or mortgage professional as we did.
