Sara Cohen and Emily Dalton have represented us across two surrogacy journeys in Canada. Helping us with legal advice, contracts and support with donors and surrogates. Expertly advising us of the legal frameworks in different Canadian provinces and sharing the best path for us to take in our journey to become parents. Nearly 3 years ago we had our first introductory call with Sara after being recommended to us by our Irish lawyer. Not being from Canada and living in Europe we were very nervous of the unknown legal and medical systems. Before speaking to Sara we spoke to several very good lawyers in Toronto, but after speaking to Sara we knew she was the woman we wanted in our corner. Her straight talking and kind disposition coupled with her deep knowledge of the surrogacy landscape in Canada and years of experience and connections made us instantly feel at ease for the first time. Going through a surrogacy journey is most likely the most stressful experience of any IPs’ life. So many doctors, clinics, agencies… by the time we had our first call with Sara back then, we were forlorn, sceptical and frozen with fear. Fear of making the wrong decision, picking the wrong clinic or donor/surrogacy agency. After 30 minutes with Sara we felt empowered and safe knowing we had her expert guidance and care for the biggest journey of our lives. It’s taken a village for us to create our family, and Sara and Emily have definitely been the villagers that have helped us the most in making our dream come through. Thank you!

Sara represented me for my surrogacy journey & I have to say she is incredible! She ensured I got everything I deserve throughout this journey & gave me the best advice along the way. Sara and her assistant Emily are absolutely wonderful. They are so quick to reply to any questions you may have and give you the best legal advice out there! Thank you again ladies ❤️

Sara has helped us negotiate two embryo donation agreements. Sara is very knowledgeable in the area of fertility law. She and her team have been wonderful to work with; Emily especially was extremely patient with all our questions, worked hard to keep things moving forward for us and kept us fully informed. Highly recommend Sara and her team!!

She and her dedicated team are always available and ready to help, even at short notice. As a foreign couple wishing to have children via surrogacy in Canada, it is essential to have excellent legal counsel in Canada, too.
