I hesitate to speak up for fear of retaliation, as this was the case in attempting to bring concerns directly to Achkar in email communications (prior to posting this review). Christopher's responses even to those here on google appear to lend towards discrediting or undermining those who brave voice to their personal truths of experience. That said, I do believe the public deserves to know that an incredibly stressful situation, can, indeed, get much worse through retaining Achkar; if their experience is like my own. I post this with genuine care for others well-being, and a desire for others to seek pathways for justice that do not cause them additional harms. Achkar runs, from my experience, too great a risk of additional harms. Having exhausted avenues for accountability, Achkar and I remain at a trust deficit too substantive to overcome. As others here have said, please be aware that your initial intake call with them is not recorded. And so, it may be the case, that you find yousellf in quite a stark juxtaposition from that initial call later on, but there is no record to draw upon for reference. - | Achkar Response: exemplary of statement above re attempted discrediting. I have never expressed entitlement to free labour. I have never asked Achkar lawyers to work for free. The realities of living in a paid labour society under capitalism were known, by me, prior to and throughout, my interactions with Achkar; thus achkar did not have need to explain them to me. The troubles I had with Achkar were many, and various in nature. The trust deficit created during my interactions with Achkar is multi-faceted, with some facets similar in nature to what others have already said.
