Worst experience I've had ever. 100 times more stressful than layoff itself, both mentally and financially. I was billed ~7k for just two rounds of negotiation with my employer and gained only 5 extra weeks of severance. I understand outcomes can't be guaranteed, but I expected clearer strategy, accountability, and respect for my time and mental energy. -> Carol consistently missed deadlines, promised to send drafts by a certain date and always followed through days late. -> Despite my repeated requests to stick to email for clarity and cost control, she insisted on constant phone calls, often calling multiple times in a row without notice or scheduling, regardless of whether I was available, in an interview, or needed space. (Though she claimed calls saved time, in practice much of our call time was spent repeating the same points and multiple silences while she searched her notes mid-call). -> She advised me to accept an offer that was only 3 weeks better than the original, and later denied giving that advice. That kind of inconsistency made me feel incredibly manipulative and mentally exhausting. -> I also asked her multiple times not to focus on things I found irrelevant (like requesting a positive reference letter), yet she continued to spend time on it and bill for it. -> I caught several charges that felt questionable (like being billed 0.2 hours for a one-sentence email or call durations that didn’t match my phone log). When I raised questions, she became irritated and refused to answer, instead accusing me of being inappropriate. I didn’t pursue a formal fee assessment only because she eventually offered a small discount. But the overall experience was draining and disappointing. -> I also officially ended her service before the case was finalized, and even then, she followed up with multiple messages including implying that no other clients had ever done that, which felt like a final attempt to get under my skin and shake my confidence. I felt like she was playing mind games with me instead of helping me stay grounded during an already vulnerable time. I’m leaving this review so others can go in with full awareness. If you do decide to work with her, I’d strongly recommend getting everything in writing, minimizing calls, and tracking all communications, especially every billing line closely.

I have retained Carol Boire and referred her to others regarding a variety of employment law issues including wrongful dismissal and employment contracts. Her vast knowledge of employment law complimented by her impressive negotiation skills makes her a true professional in her field. Her passion and empathy sets her apart from many other lawyers I have dealt with in my professional career. She has the ability to negotiate settlements in a timely manner while always acting in the best interest of her clients. Carol is a highly dedicated lawyer whom I have recommended to others who have also been very impressed with her results. Carol is definitely a lawyer that you would want to have on your team. I look forward to continuing to recommend Carol Boire to others.

A quick review of Carol.... Carol has great energy, and a desire to work hard for her clients, and what is fair. If you are dealing with an employer, in any manner, signing a contract, signing a release, it is truly worth a quick meeting with Carol to review your rights and what you are entitled to. Lets face it , an employer will hire , and release more people than you are likely to have jobs in your lifetime, and they will do what is best for them not you. Carol will do what is best for you! I was referred to Carol, and very happy that I went to see her. All I can say is, Do not sign anything until you have spoken with Carol. If you are not sure that alone is a reason to call for a consult. You will be happy you have met her! Karen B

After being unfairly terminated, Carol Boire was there to fight for my cause. And we won! Carol is a compassionate, effective and extremely knowledgeable Employment Lawyer that doesn't step down nor does she get intimidated by the challenge of a difficult case. Every legal case goes through peak and valley and you really need the mentality of a marathon runner have a determine will to never give up and believe there will be a reward at the end of the race. Carol is like a coach during this marathon, she runs with you and encourages you along the way until the race is over. And with her help, not only did I complete the marathon, I came in first! If any of my friends and family members are faced with the same situation I'd have no hesitation to recommend them to reach out to Carol to represent them. Thanks again, Carol! L.S.

I was referred to Carol when I was wrongfully terminated from my employment. I soon realized she was very thorough and that I was in good hands. She most definitely cares about EVERY client she has and demonstrated that exceptionally. She continuously contacted me on every detail that was required. She was such a tough cookie and I was very please with her overall. I would highly recommend her to any and everybody. I'm glad she had my back and you will be too!!! A.L
