We discussed engaging them for preparing a will and they sent us a questionnaire to complete. We completed it and sent it back, but they never sent us a retainer agreement or per/hr costs. Three months later, they send us a bill for $5K plus tax and nothing else. We had another firm complete it by then. They then sent the bill to collection. These people are scoundrels and really should be brought before the BAR Association. This invoice is statute barred and is not enforceable as it is greater than 2 years old, without acknowledgement, but they don't care about that. They just want to get paid for doing nothing. I will be pursuing them legally next.

I recently used Minden Gross mediator/partner Howard Black for an estate litigation mediation. Unequivocally, it was the biggest waste of my time and money. There are much better estate litigation mediators out there who are more cost effective and professional. Do your own due diligence. Do NOT listen to your lawyer who may state that "he is one of the best" or is highly recommended. Quite frankly, I was ashamed for the legal profession and the manner in which Howard Black conducted himself. It was disgraceful! Do not let "perceived" reputation blind you. If this is the best the legal profession has to offer then we are most definitely in a bad place and it would explain why most people are distrustful of lawyers. and reluctant to hire them. Howard Black was referred to me by my previous legal counsel. My counsel failed to mention to me that they have a relationship with Howard Black and they also receive referrals from him for estate mediation. They also send referrals to Minden Gross. "All in the family". You scratch my back and I scratch yours. Mr. Black charges $8,000 for a one day mediation whether it lasts one hour or or five hours. He gets paid regardless even if the mediation gets cut short and there is no resolution. During my mediation he was behaving like an adolescent child. I felt like I was back in elementary school. I couldn't believe I was paying my hard earned money for this "clown"! I usually never write referrals, however I felt compelled to do so in order to protect individuals who are in search of a well meaning, professional mediator and not someone who is in it solely to collect the $$$$$$. No value for the service provided. Stay away! An embarrassment to Minden Gross.

As a returning customer of Yosef Adler, I was expecting the same level of service I had once recieved. Not only was I past on to an associate, I was ignored , delayed and overcharged. Proceeds from sale were withhed until their astronomical bill was paid @ 4x rate amount Robberya jr to use the services of Yosef Adler

Sometimes one wishes that the Admin/Staff functions that support line Partners understand what effort it takes to earn revenues - when they ignore cost saving opportunities.
