Lambert received his B.A (Hons) from Victoria College in the University of Toronto and obtained his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1994. In 2009, he entered the practice of employment and human rights law and was called to the Bar in 2010. Before practicing law, Lambert worked for more than twenty-five years in the business world in progressively senior positions in Winnipeg, Calgary, Montreal, and Toronto, including as Vice-President of Operations with an international insurance company.
