I hired Mr. Apel to represent me on a matter and I didn't feel I received adequate and satisfactory representation. I personally would NEVER hire Mr. Apel again to represent me for any matters pertaining to defence. He also failed to advised me prior to obtaining a retainer from me that his license had been suspended by the Law Society only 4 months prior to taking on my case.

I wish other reviewers had explained why Mr. Kirkor Apel deserved a 1-star rating, instead of vague comments like 'Terrible man and terrible service, look elsewhere!' If you have questions about his legal services, feel free to contact me. My contact information is easily found online. I am copying and pasting the email I sent this morning on May 7, 2024, to Mr. Kirkor Apel, to illustrate why I am leaving a Google review for his legal services. Unfortunately, I had to rate his services with the lowest possible score of 1 star. I wish there was an option to provide a negative or at least a 0-star rating. ******************** Dear Mr. Opel, I hope this message finds you. I feel compelled to express my profound disappointment with the legal services you have provided. Since your involvement, there has been a glaring absence of achievement or wise counsel. Moreover, the lack of an agreement being sent underscores the fundamental issues plaguing our engagement. It appears that your focus has primarily been on your own time and creating unnecessary tasks, rather than on achieving tangible results for me, your client. Your actions have not only been misguided but have also left me feeling utterly disregarded and ill-advised. Contrary to your professional obligations, you seem more interested in generating revenue for yourself than in genuinely assisting your clients. Your disregard for providing meaningful advice and your insistence on creating additional files for your own financial gain are deeply troubling. Furthermore, your disrespectful language towards Shana [she is my first solicitor on file], including derogatory terms such as "idiot," is unacceptable and unbecoming of a legal professional. It is clear that professionalism and competence are sorely lacking in your practice. In light of these egregious shortcomings, I demand a full refund of all fees paid. Additionally, if not received within the next 48 hours, I intend to pursue maximum damages through the small claims court to rectify the harm caused by your negligent and unprofessional conduct. It is abundantly clear that you are not fit to hold a solicitor's license, and I implore you to reconsider your approach to legal practice. Your actions have not only damaged your reputation but have also severely impacted the lives of those you claim to serve. In conclusion, I have no choice but to sever all ties with you and seek legal counsel elsewhere. I trust that you will take this feedback seriously and reflect on the significant improvements needed in your practice. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mr. Apel is personable, fair, honest and competent. He has done work for me in the past and is forthcoming with advice without gauging his clients for every paperclip, stamp or photocopy, which I've unfortunately experienced with others in his profession. He has also referred me to other trusted lawyers when the nature of the issue has been out of his scope of expertise. But he has a vast knowledge of law and business.

Mr Apel has done some work for me in the past and it was affordable and well done. I can safely say you’ll be happy to do busy with Mr Apel. He’s thorough and fair in his billing practices not like some of the other lawyers I have had the not so pleasure of doing business with.
