George Gray is a criminal defence lawyer based in Toronto. For over a decade, Mr. Gray has worked to protect the rights of individuals accused of criminal offences, including in Colombia, Mali, Northern Ireland, Greece and Canada. From 2014 until 2017, Mr. Gray worked as a delegate for the International Committee of the Red Cross. In this capacity he advocated for fair treatment and due process on behalf of individuals charged with serious offences including war crimes, terrorism, and other armed conflict related offences. He has also worked on projects with Lawyers without Borders (Canada) and the Association in Defence of the Wrongfully Convicted. Mr. Gray began his career in 2009 as an associate at one of Canadas top national law firms. There he defended clients before all levels of court in Ontario, and engaged in written advocacy before the Supreme Court of Canada.
