One star is too much to give this firm. Why are they still being hired? As a purchaser dealing with them has been the worst experience. Asking for something took over 9 months and in the end they charged large fees for something that usually costs a few hundred dollars. The staff are all rude and unwilling to help anyone either by email or by phone. This is where the government should get involved and regulate these guys from ripping off buyers and the general population. @dougford #dougford

If there is a 0 star I will definitely rate this office. Really rude staff and law clerks ( Ce and Je). They have 0 professional communication with other law office for closing, no phone no email just fax but they didn’t reply in timely manner. And try to charge purchasers every little things that they can as they think that they act for builders so they have that rights? So brutal. If you find out that the builder use this law office, please stay away.

I see why people are giving 1-star to this law firm because it's all true. They don't answer emails or phone calls and are very unprofessional especially the law clerk. After many follow-ups by my lawyer inquiring about the keys release to a new home , they finally responded saying vendor has been notified and this happened at the very end of the day. I thought getting keys to a new home would be very exciting but this law firm made it super stressful. Would never recommend this firm to anyone.

Incredibly unprofessional firm. 1) They charged me $565 for an amendment on a pre construction investment only to then fail to close on my property on closing day due to the “the high number of closings on that day”. How does that work, they couldn’t count and plan for the number of closings they have ahead of time? I have to swallow their outrageous and almost criminal amendment fees yet they are allowed to miss deadlines? 2) I hand delivered HST / CRA forms to their office only for my lawyers to be called on closing day being told they never received them … ten minutes later, their summer law student calls my lawyers and say they found them..

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had first hand experience working with Brattys on a development deal and it was a very smooth process. The lawyer who had handled my file was very responsive and easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a residential lawyer. Not sure why people are commenting regarding the inability to get in touch with them because it's been very easy for me, but of course everyone has their own experience but for me, I've had zero issues. Also very competitive pricing
