During a job application at Fasken, I was asked during the interview how much my salary expectations is so I mentioned my salary range. Anushka Nancoo then said “we don’t have a budget” then she goes on and say “even if we have a budget, we’re not allowed to share that until the final stages of the hiring process”. Anushka should be ashamed with Kristin Hamilton. They’re giving Fasken an extremely bad impression about your recruitment and hiring practices. So candidates are required to disclose their salary requirements but Fasken is not allowed to say so? Talk about equality, transparency and fairness in your hiring process? In addition, firms have a budget because this forms part of your financial expenses in understanding the amount of budget for each cost center in respective departments or a company-wide budget. An analysis of financial performance as a whole is also needed when making hiring decisions so all of these are considerations when making a hire so, yes! There is a budget. In HR and hiring methods, you need to research the required skills you’re looking for and assess what salary range that position requires. A competent HR department can assess the market value or going rate for a specific position and years of experience that comes along with that position. So saying that there is no budget is really a BS. I’ve spoken to a lot of HR professionals and they said that this tactic of not disclosing the salary is a way to lowball candidates. Anushka claims she has an HR degree which whoever educational institution that gave her this should revoke it from her immediately. This isn’t what you’re taught in your HR program. She even has an MBA which completely is an embarrassment because she’s not promoting fair hiring practices. So Anushka rather have candidates have a lengthy process, that is, up to 3-4 interviews and then after that, only mention the salary range? Why waste both the candidates’ and employers’ time? Fasken is still doing outdated recruiting processes and making competent candidates get disappointed. I don’t think Anushka is competent enough to represent your firm. Her questions during the interview appears to have picked up from the internet as the interview seems “scripted” showing her lack of experience or training from her manager. You can do better. Choose the right HR staff that you hire to represent you.

let it be know, that Fasken is representing Elbit on lawsuit againts the canadian goverment. Elbit sells its experience in ghettoizing and decimating from PAL as ‘field tested’ technology to repress other people.

Alix Herber is unethical, incompetent, manipulative and indolent. Why is Fasken refusing to provide the requisite information required for reporting Herber to the body responsible for oversight of attorney misconduct in her jurisdiction? Fasken's complicity with Herber's misconduct speaks volumes about Fasken's own lack of ethics.
